How competitive was the selection process? Did you have to go through an application procedure?I didn't have to, because I went in February, there was no pressure... The summer months are quicker to pick.

Why would you recommend students do an internship?It's a great experience. You get to know a completely different culture, a different lifestyle, a different world. You understand that we live in a bubble of luxury. It's an incredibly broadening experience.

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?In Uganda, you can get around with a taxi, boda boda, or a regular bus that runs maybe twice a day. There are not many regular services.

What is a must-see in the city?Uganda is the pearl of Africa. Visiting a national park, experiencing a real safari, sailing on the Nile, visiting markets is a must.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Murchison falls NP or other parks, mountains, waterfalls, gorilla tracking.

What not to forget when packing?For girls long dresses, skirts, ideally cotton, which will be suitable for hot summer days. Better to be more covered up, too short clothes are not suitable. Definitely not white clothes, as there is dust everywhere.
