V univerzitnom systeme UNO - MavLINK.

Which documents were needed for acceptance at the foreign university?:
Na pohovor s CZS bol potrebny zivotopis, vypis znamok, doporucujuci dopis od vyucujuceho a motivacne listy na prve tri univerzity, o ktore ma student zaujem. Po pohovore bola prihlaska nasledne spracovana organizaciou ISEP, kde bolo treba dolozit certifikat z anglictiny a zaplatit za zdravotne poistenie, ktore ISEP ponukal. Kazda prihlaska je tiez spoplatnena.

How far ahead did you have to organise your acceptance?:
Vsetko je vypisane na strankach CZS, vzdy minimalne pol rok pred planovanym pobytom.

Documents and materials needed for a visa:
Je potrebne sledovat stranky americkej ambasady. Ja som si pre istotu vzala vsetky dokumenty, ktore som potrebovala pre samotnu prihlasku a dolozila som vypis z bankoveho uctu.

Length of wait for visa:
Na pohovor bola doba cakania asi dva tyzdne a na nasledne zaslanie pasu som cakala asi tyzden.

160 dolarov za viza a SEVIS poplatok 220 dolarov

Pre magisterskych studentov plati, ze si musia zapisat minimalne 9 magisterskych kreditov a z toho 6 musi prebiehat prezencne. Prvy tyzden semestra bolo povolene kurzy menit.

Pred odchodom som kontaktovala moju katedru ohladom prepoctu, kde mi bolo povedane, ze UNO kredity maju dvojnasobnu vahu na MU a teda ECTS.

Describe the teaching methods (theory, practical and projects) and assessment of students:
Americke univerzity ocakavaju od studentov viac pocas semestra, co ale znamena, ze skuskove obdobie ako take je o cosi menej stresujuce ako u nas. Profesori su velmi ustretovi a chapavi. Z vlastnej skusenosti musim povedat, ze vyuka bola viac prakticka nez teoreticka. Hodnotenie je ferove.

Sposob vyuky aj materialy sa podobali, ako som ale povedala vyssie, vyuka na UNO bola viac prakticka.

How did you receive study materials?:
Vacsinu poskytovali profesori a zvysok som si kupila.

Can you recommend an interesting course/subject/teacher?:
Urcite by som doporucila Dr. Ghosh a Dr. Peterson z English Department.

How well is the school library equipped?:
Knihy, pocitace, aj vsetky zvysne sluzby boli skvele.

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
V kniznici boli dostupne verejne pocitace. Internet skoro bez problemov.

Viac som bola v kontakte s ostatnymi medzinarodnymi studentami, ale zoznamila som sa aj s miestnymi.
