Registracia prebieha v cca mesacnom predstihu online a pocet studentov v danom kurze je obmedzeny. Moznost zmeny kurzu nastane v intervale jedneho tyzdna pocas zaciatku semestra.

Vyuka prebieha vacsinou vo forme prednasok a od naplne kurzu zalezi, ake projekty je treba vypracovat a ci sa na konci alebo pocas kurzu skladaju nejake skusky. Bezne su skupinove projekty/ prezentacie v kombinacii s individualne vypracovanymi projektami.

Quality of teaching in comparison with home school:
Osobne hodnotim kvalitu vyuky na hostitelskej univerzite ako nizsiu v porovnani s Masarykovou univerzitou.

Contextual Studies of Art

How well is the school library equipped?:
Kniznica poskytuje velke mnozstvo odbornej literatury v anglickom jazyku, tiez beletriu, encyklopedie, detsku literaturu, casopisy. Rovnako su k dispozicii k zapozicaniu audiovizualne subory. Studenti maju tiez k dispozii pocitace s internetom a programami potrebnymi na upravu dokumentov (klasicky Word, Powerpoint, ale napriklad aj Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator...), tlaciarne a skenery, a to nonstop pocas celeho tyzdna.

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
Vlastny notebook netreba, vsetko je k dispozicii.

Zahrnuty nie je poplatok za pracku a za klimatizaciu (ktora je hlavne pocas teplych mesiacov nevyhnutna).

Describe the equipment. Tips for future students – what should they bring with them?:
Zalezi od zvoleneho internatu. Ja som byvala na Nortcote Hall v izbe pre dvoch (moznost su 2 alebo 3 osoby na izbe). Na kazdom poschodi su spolocne sprchy, zachody, kuchynka (moznost skladovat si jedlo v spolocnych priestoroch a chladnicke, mikrovlnka, platnicky na varenie. Truba k dispozicii nie je). Treba si vziat vlastne kuchynske vybavenie a pribory a vlastne postelne pradlo - to sa da ale lahko a lacno zaobstarat v ikei. A urcite adapter!

How and how far ahead should accommodation be organised?:
cca 2 mesiace. Ziadost o ubytovanie sa podava v rovnakom termine ako prebieha registracia kurzov a zahranicne oddelenie poskytuje podrobne navody a informacie o tom, ako ma ziadost prebehnut.

What are the catering options?:
Skolska jedalen, moznost varit si na internate, restauracie v meste.

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
Cca trikrat drahsie. Zeleninu a ovocie sa da o cosi lacnejsie zaobstarat na miestnych street marketoch, ale treba kvoli nim vyrazit viac do centra.

Transport to location of placement:
Na letisku ma vyzdvihol buddy a sli sme asi 2 a pol hodinu autobusom s dvomi prestupmi. Je dobre mat k dispozicii nejake mince na zaplatenie listka.

Rough prices for transportation:
V porovnani s Ceskom je doprava ovela lacnejsia a studenti maju ako drzitelia Student Octopus Card este zlavu navyse. Octopus je k cestovaniu, ale aj k plateniu vo vacsine obchodov, viac-menej nevyhnutna, s jej vybavenim mi pohol moj buddy.

Tips for purchasing cheap tickets and other recommendations:
Urcite zakupit v predstihu a podla moznosti spiatocnu, vyjde to lacnejsie.

What are the local transport options (public transport, cycling, on foot, rough prices):
Metro, autobusy, peso je to na vacsinu miest prilis daleko. Je tu aj velke mnozstvo cyklotras, tie som vsak nevyuzivala.

What kind of formalities have to be arranged before arrival, for example residence permit?:
Octopus Card.
Studenti, ktori ostavaju dlhsie ako na jeden semester, si musia vybavit Hong Kong ID Card.

What health insurance did you use? (rough price, advantages, disadvantages, is it necessary to arrange insurance at the university other than your home (Czech) insurance?):
Mala som vybavene Celorocne cestovne poistenie cez Union a vyslo ma 250 eur. Poistenie musi zahrnat zdravotne naklady a asistencne sluzby v pripade urazu.

Nie.

Studenske viza mi nedovolili pracovat.

Tips for free-time activities:
Cestovanie do okolitych krajin - z Hong Kongu sa daju zohnat lacne letenky prakticky hocikam. Mesto samo o sebe ponuka kopu moznosti na vylety a turistiku.
