🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?no

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The professors required us to buy all the books we were supposed to work with in class. At the same time, additional exam attempts are at the end of the academic year, so if you go in the fall semester, you have to pass all the exams on the first try.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?I think just an orientation week and then it's just ESN events.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:15000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?Start looking as soon as possible. It's quite hard to get dorms and it's quite difficult to find normal prized accommodation because a lot of locals are looking for them too.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Textbooks and books. I didn't expect to have to buy them all.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?A lot of books can be found online and there are plenty of places to eat cheaply in the city. The cafeteria's pretty expensive, too.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?neutral

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Public transport has an app which is quite nice and you can buy tickets there.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Railway station, Chinatown, town square and markets on holidays.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Brugges.

Share your best experience:Student beer drinking - I don't know what it's called anymore, but it's a Belgian event where you sing and drink beer. It's organised by ESN for international students and there was one specifically in costume for Halloween. That was cool.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?If you fly, be careful which Brussels airport you get to - one is in the centre, but the other is more or less in a village outside Brussels, and it takes a long time to get to the centre and then to Antwerp.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?Waterproof boots - it rains a lot out there.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences? The lessons were quite demanding, and it wasn't the cheapest, but it's a beautiful city, the waffles and chips are delicious, and there's definitely somewhere to travel.
