Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?We had most of our lessons together with other Erasmus students and distance learners (I was surprised how well the older adults speak English). All classes were in English. The teaching was mostly not frontal, but based on teamwork, projects, activities. The end of the course was usually in the form of a group project.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?During orientation week, ESN Tallinn University offers various events during the semester.

What is a must-see in the city?Telliskivi, Noblessner, Pikakari in good weather, Pirita, Kadriorg

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Near Tallinn is Lahemaa National Park (you can walk on wooden footbridges).
100% rent a car and drive to Saaremaa island (some of the best memories).
Rummu (quarry and abandoned prison, concerts are held here).
Pärnu is a very nice summer town with a beach, so go in the hottest weather.
Narva for a bit of an atypical trip (border with Russia).

Outside Estonia - 100% Lapland!!! Stockholm (cheap flights) and Helsinki (ferry)


Share your best experience:At the end of June, we spent the whole night on Pikakari beach, built a fire and watched the sun set and rise on a summer night when there is basically no darkness and it's light all night long and the horizon is still tinted orange.

What not to forget when packing?Photos from home or an object that will remind you of home. Very warm clothing is needed for the spring semester to start the year and summer clothing for June - 30° (packages can be sent back and forth).
