Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The teachers quite often remembered the names of the students as there were only about 40/50 of us in the class.
The timetable was not stable and there were subjects which were at a different time/room each week.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Welcome Day is an orientation day for new students.
Every week there are a lot of events for students, either prepared by ESN (introductions, parties, city tour) or by the university (film screenings, various lectures, photography club, guided visits to galleries,...) and there is always an email with a list of all the events that will happen and information on how to register.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)

Eat in the school canteen (lunch is 4-5€) and cook on weekends.
Take advantage of free things for students, as there are really a lot of them (theater tickets, museums, gyms , various events from the university, nature walks,...).

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city? The Luxembourg City is definitely a must-see
- the view from around Gelle Fra, Citadelle du Saint-Esprit
- Pont du Grunt
- Bock Casemates
- the glass elevator in Pfaffenthal
- Place d'Armes, Place Guillaume II
- museums (Mudam, National Art & History, City History, Natural History, Villa Vauban, ...) and free entry for students
- Philharmonic and theatre, as tickets for students are around 10€

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Mullerthal Region, Naturpark Öewersauer - beautiful nature
Clervaux, Echternach, Larochette - small pretty towns among the mountains
Vianden, Bourscheid, Larochette - nice castles
Trier (Germany), Metz (France) - beautiful towns with lots of sights and museums right next to the border
And probably most important: watch the weather forecast and go when it's supposed to be nice!

Share your best experience:The best experience is seriously hard to choose, so I'll give you my top 3:
Mullerthal in autumn - a beautiful national park with its famous distinctive waterfalls and high narrow cliffs with views, the colours of autumn only added to the beauty that I have perhaps 500 photos from that day.
Trier during the Christmas markets - the city itself is already gorgeous and has a number of well-preserved monuments from Roman times that are breathtaking, but with the added atmosphere of the markets (with affordable prices overall) and the lights, it was simply an amazing birthday.
The hike from Esch-sur-Sûre alongside the Sûre river - there is a castle ruin in the town which offers a nice view of the surrounding area and I didn't meet anyone there, then it gradually climbs alongside the river which has a dam on it and then makes beautiful meanders, the views were beautiful even though it was cold and at the end there was a floating bridge which led to the beach from where I saw the sunset.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus
Car

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?I wouldn't take the Flixbus again with a transfer, because due to the delay of the first bus I ended up in Leipzig at 1am and had to take the 3am IC train with 5 transfers to get home.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Due to the weather, waterproof clothing, boots and raincoat are a must. It also depends on the accommodation, but I found it helpful to bring duvets, a bedside table and shelves for the bathroom.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Time flies fast when one enjoys the beauty of life and nature :)
