Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Teaching is much more individual than at MUNI. Almost all subjects are taught as seminars in groups of max. 20 people.
Teaching is at a lower level than at MUNI.


Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?There are a lot of activities on campus, especially various clubs, such as crochet, theater, or clay modeling. There are also many opportunities for excursions and there are a few cafes and chop shops in town. Walmart, etc. are only accessible by car and the train to other towns only runs once a day. The campus also has a pool and a gym. There are also opportunities to join various sports teams and a couple of times a semester the school organizes trips to the lake or even Washington D.C.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?I had no expenses outside of cosmetics and a couple of times at the cafe because food and accommodation were reimbursed.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Eating only in the cafeteria instead of shopping at the store.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?It's only an hour train ride to cities around here, like NCY, Phildalephia, Harrisburg, or Washington.
