Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Some subjects were also taught asynchronously. That is, online, with the lectures being pre-recorded and you just studied the assigned materials. But there aren't many courses like that

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Mandatory fees for health insurance provided by the university and a public transport card. (Both of those fees were quite high, but definitely worth it!)

Do you have any tips on how to save money?At the beginning of the semester, the university gives away things left behind by former students (frying pans, cutlery, etc.). Clothes (especially warm ones) can be found in a few relatively good second hand shops (Platos Closet).

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?You can fly to either Toronto or Buffalo. But you need to be careful about Buffalo, because then you would have to deal with the problems of crossing the border into Canada.
