one month before study you select courses for registration and then you you select from the registrated courses the courses you will really study

Did you take any examinations at the foreign school?:
yes, two exams.

though on master there is not many exams, more seminar works and projects

Does the school use the ECTS system?:
no

If not then explain how the credits there were recalculated into ECTS:
one credit there is 1,5 ECTS

Describe the teaching methods (theory, practical and projects) and assessment of students:
it really depends on the subjects.
Generally it is more about group projects, than studying and have exams.

Quality of teaching in comparison with home school:
it is much worse, mainly their presentation skills. Most of the proffesors are "uspávači hadů" a "leze to z nich jak z chlupaté deky".

there is big difference in quality of proffesors and presentation skills at subjects from humanities and from technical subjects. Thu humanities proffesors are much more better, sometimes with outstanding presentations.

also there are many western proffesors that are genneraly very good.

How did you receive study materials?:
from e learning website, also they will give you the textbooks before the study period and you need to pay for it.

Can you recommend an interesting course/subject/teacher?:
- Chinese
- Chinese philosophy and civilization
- Business in Asia

How well is the school library equipped?:
it is quite big

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
you need to install VPN, I reccomend Mullvad

printing is in the library for free

Does the foreign school/student organisation arrange special events for exchange students?:
yes

If yes then what?:
you have your own buddy, then there is few events and trips

How would you assess your integration with the local students (evaluation like in school from 1 to 5 with 1 as highest):

or describe in your own words:
chinese often times do not speak english very good even though the lessons are in english, also they are shy and idk it is just hard to talk to them about something interesting.

I really recommend to join the Uni clubs and there you can find many chinese friends, you have some common hobby.

dormitories Parfait - the best choice for one semester

there can be additional small fees
pay attention you need to give quite large deposit of about 3000rmb (10000czk) - in cash or with card

Describe the equipment. Tips for future students – what should they bring with them?:
theres almost everything, you have rooms only for yourself with toilet and shower but common kitchen and living room with others. there is very hard to cook and you need to buy equipment. also for cleaning

there is a tip to buy this things as a second hand in shops close by or online

How and how far ahead should accommodation be organised?:
do not remember but you will get notification from your University

What are the catering options?:
canteens, restaurants and nightmarkets close by, they are cheep about 15-30rmb per meal

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
about the same just you do not need to cook but eat at canteens

Transport to location of placement:
5rmb by shared bicycle, it is about 5-10 minutes, 15-20 minutes walking

it is very cheap, and Uni is close

after your arrival before study period you should visit main office at the University and they will tell you everyhing

from AXA, do not remember

Did you have any experience with medical treatment abroad?:
yes, hospitals are there quite ok and do not cost that much. One hospital is right next to the university so check it out if something.

cannot bc of Visa

Tips for free-time activities:
there are Uni clubs, usually sports. I joined MMA and yoga

very recommend for you to join something as well
there is fair about these clubs first week of your studies. recommend to join.

you can buy anything in China

What most surprised you at the partner university in a positive way:
the support staff from UK and a lot of international students and convenience in everything

What most surprised you at the partner university in a negative way:
the chinese students have very bad english even though it is language of the studies, it is hard to vibe with chinese students, I ussualy spent time with Europeans. Some lectures are very bad, some are quite good.

Further comments:
if you wanna study in China I strongly recommend this university. I really enjoyed my stay here and the best thing is that its international and english speaking so you will have it quite easier to study here. Also you need to realize it is campus like University far from the city centre, but quite large. A lot of administration is solved by Uni staff from UK.
