Približne týždeň po príjazdu na univerzitu, registrácia prebieha cez univerzitnú verziu ISu. Registrácia a zrušenie predmetov sa dá spraviť do 1 týždňa od začiatku výuky, v polke semestra sa dajú len zrušiť predmety (v období mid-terms)

z veľkej časti len Japonské knihy

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
PC v hlavnej budove sú len v PC miestnostiach, na výuku je treba notebook. Internet je pomalší (klasický eduroam je v hlavnej budove) pretože ich vlastnýá wifi je prakticky filtrovaný eduroam. Určité stránky sú zakázané.

Z Japonských univerzít je asi najvyššia. V Takiyama International Dormitory sú na každej chodbe 4 bunky po 8 izbách (6 Japoncov, 2 zahraničný). Študenti sú povzbudzovaný aby komunikovali so zahraničnými študentmi (Japončina je samozrejme veľkou výhodou, keďže máloktorý vedia po anglicky).

vybavenosť je dobrá, čokoľvek by ste potrebovali tak si ľahko a lacno môžete kúpiť v 100 jenových obchodoch alebo Donki

zahraničná univerzita vám zašle formulár kde vyplníte na ktorý internát chcete ísť

What are the catering options?:
v Takiyama International Dormitory je k dispozícii kantína (raňajky a večere od Po-So, za 24 300 jenov mesačne)
v kampuse sú kantíny (cena za jedlo je cca 300-600 jenov za porciu), ktoré ponúkajú hlavne obedy (jedna ponúka aj raňajky a skoré večere)

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
veľmi drahé ovocie, drahšia zelenina a mäso, ostatné základné položky by som povedal že relatívne zrovnateľné

Transport to location of placement:
zdarma autobus zaistený školou v určité dni, inak treba ísť vlakmi a autobusom

Rough prices for transportation:
zo školy na stanicu je to 350 jenov, celková cena až na letisko je približne 1500 jenov

Tips for purchasing cheap tickets and other recommendations:
používať Keio-Hachioji line namiesto Chuo-line keď idete do Shinjuku

What are the local transport options (public transport, cycling, on foot, rough prices):
autobus 350 jenov na stanicu zo školy (20-30 min), dajú sa zapožičať aj kola, a pešo je to cca 1 hodina

What kind of formalities have to be arranged before arrival, for example residence permit?:
v orientačnom týždni škola zaistí prvotné formality a pomôže vám vyplniť a pošle za vás potrebné dokumenty

What health insurance did you use? (rough price, advantages, disadvantages, is it necessary to arrange insurance at the university other than your home (Czech) insurance?):
na cestu lietadlom som si zariadil cestovné poistenie a potom som mal len japonské poistenie, ktoré bolo povinné (2200 jenov mesačne to vychádzalo na pol roka (6000 jenov prvotný poplatok a potom 1000 jenov mesačne))

veľa som cestoval a nakupoval, dá sa prežiť od 50 000 jenov na mesiac keď žijete len na kampuse a len zriedkavo chodíte do mesta a celkovo šetríte.
