🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Does the university offer enough courses in English?manageable

Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?I was surprised by the way the rehearsals turned out. Unlike here, in Germany they have only one attempt at the exam, rarely two (but the second date is usually a month later). On the other hand, it is also harder not to take the exam.

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:12000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?In Germany, exchange students also have to pay a fee for radio and TV broadcasting (regardless of whether they have a radio/TV). I think it was around 1200 CZK.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?I can highly recommend the Deutschland-ticket. It costs 49 euros per month and it allows you to use all regional public transport services, i.e. trains, buses and public transport.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?neutral

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? The DB Navigator app is ideal for finding connections. You can also buy tickets there.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city? The historic centre of Constance is beautiful. The Hus Museum is quite interesting (I think it was also free). On the other hand, I definitely don't recommend the aquarium.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Outside of the city, I definitely recommend the northern coast of Bodensee, there are lots of beautiful towns, for example Meersburg. The Swiss Alps are definitely worth a visit too, for example the Säntis peak which is within sight of Constance. Zurich is also beautiful. However, transport and accommodation in Switzerland is more complicated, and you have to take into account higher prices.

Share your best experience:I most enjoyed the drive all the way through Switzerland to Milan. I hitchhiked the whole way and slept a lot on punk, but it was a great trip. I looked at the Rheinschlucht (a beautiful Rhine canyon in the Flims area), San Bernardino (an older, now virtually abandoned mountain resort) and Lungau (a beautiful town in the south of Switzerland) along the way. And of course Milan itself was very nice.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Beer :-). Kostnitz is quite close to Bavaria, but it is basically impossible to get good beer here.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Constance is a beautiful historic town, but also full of students thanks to its two universities. Plus, it's also the perfect spot to travel around one of the most beautiful areas of Western Europe.
