In my case, it was a researching period, so it wasn´t a official course

I was in the library, I had to make a student card. It takes 10 minuts and 10 or 15 zloty for 3 months

no

How well is the school library equipped?:
It is well equipped

Good internet access. I had my own laptop

I cannot say in the building, but near the library it is possible to copy and print

Where did you live?:
In a private room in a flat with other 2 people

250 EUR

It was near the center, you can find places cheapear

Describe the equipment. Tips for future students – what should they bring with them?:
Linens (sheets, blankets, pillow), towels, but it depends on the flat...

How and how far ahead should accommodation be organised?:
Some months before, I recommend to plan it with time, looking where everything it is, how to get there, what is better for you, live near the center, near the faculty, go by walk or use the public transport, near the rail station or highway, near the some mall center, or have a quiet room far from the center, with how many people, etc.

What are the catering options?:
It is up to you, you find everything nowadays

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
It is a litte more expensive in Poland

Transport to location of placement:
by walk/ by tram

Rough prices for transportation:
18 kč. (3 zloty) for 20 minutes by tram

Tips for purchasing cheap tickets and other recommendations:
There are some monthly tickets

What are the local transport options (public transport, cycling, on foot, rough prices):
Good conecctions with tram and bus. Krakow it is a good city for bikes, there are a lot of cycle lanes

What kind of formalities have to be arranged before arrival, for example residence permit?:
Nothing special. Medical Inssurance. Passport, money (zloty)...

What health insurance did you use? (rough price, advantages, disadvantages, is it necessary to arrange insurance at the university other than your home (Czech) insurance?):
For one month, about 700 Kč. in VZP

You pay for your library card, I think about 10 or 15 zlotys for 3 months. About the monthly expenditure, I can´t really say, something like that, but it depends on the person

No, but I recommend to choosse carefully the place for living and don´t pay anything untill being sure. And czech language sometimes helps, but polish language it´s difficult to understand

What would you recommend to take with you:
Linens and all type of clothes (and umbrella)

Kindness of people
