Courses are fixed for program. About second semestrs optional courses, students will be informed by teachers.

placement test for scholarship about 4 months ahead, admission formalities later ( admission office in ChongQing University is closed during summer vacation )

When and how did course registration take place? Are there any restrictions? Possibilities of making changes?:
Courses are fixed. Teachers will inform students about schedule and start of semestr by emails.

Yes

They have their own credit system. Credits were consulted with teachers.

Describe the teaching methods (theory, practical and projects) and assessment of students:
Basic courses: Chinese- Speaking, Listening, Writing, Comprihensive, Reading ( all courses are teached in same classroom - dont need to move between buildings )

Secon semestr are also some optional courses like calligraphy, preparing for HSK exams etc.

Quality of teaching in comparison with home school:
In CHQU were only language courses + the second semestr few optional courses.
Quality of teaching was good, could be more speaking practice.

How did you receive study materials?:
textboos are selling at the beggining of semestr - will be informed by teachers

Can you recommend an interesting course/subject/teacher?:
Calligraphy - optional course

How well is the school library equipped?:
Very good

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
In the teaching building is "eduoram" internet acces. Other type of internet, need to pay.

Options from printing and copying:
Near main gate is printing works.

Does the foreign school/student organisation arrange special events for exchange students?:
yes

If yes then what?:
Some intercultural activities, school "parties"..

How would you assess your integration with the local students (evaluation like in school from 1 to 5 with 1 as highest):

In apartment, outside of campus

Cost of accommodation - monthly:
132 EUR

Additional comments to the price of accommodation (as to what the price includes):
264 eur(2000yuan) / two person ( apartman 3+1 ) price doesnt include electricy,water etc. charges.

Describe the equipment. Tips for future students – what should they bring with them?:
nothing. Anything you can buy at the place. ( Apartment was whole furnitured )

How and how far ahead should accommodation be organised?:
If you will live at dormitory, you can check your accomodation at your online school account. Our apartman was arranged from previous students. (I recieved my confirmation about assigned room at dormitory after arrive to China - and that time I already had arranged my own apartmant)

What are the catering options?:
Shops, canteens ( one is in front of the teaching building ), restaurants outside of campus - food in ChongQing is cheap and tasty.

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
cheaper

Transport to location of placement:
first time from airport is better to take taxi ( taxi is not too expensive and is more convenient ), other time is possible to take metro or bus (you can find bus connection at Baidu map)

Rough prices for transportation:
Cheap, you can walk

Tips for purchasing cheap tickets and other recommendations:
You can use metro card also at bus. For tickets to cinema or other places yu can try show students card - often is possible to get ticket for student price.

What are the local transport options (public transport, cycling, on foot, rough prices):
cheap
bus 2yuan - whithout transfer,
metro also no more than 8 yuan,
taxi 10yuan/3,3km after that per km

-cycling is, becouse of mountain tarrain, not used in CHQ

What kind of formalities have to be arranged before arrival, for example residence permit?:
After settle down you need to go to register at local police office.
Residence permit will be arranged by school after arrival - ( school meeting with visa officer, then need to pick your passport at visa office )

What health insurance did you use? (rough price, advantages, disadvantages, is it necessary to arrange insurance at the university other than your home (Czech) insurance?):
I made insurance in Czech republic (česká spořítelna - cca 10000kč), but after arrival, ChongQing University told me, that is necessery to make insurence offered by another insurence company (at the beggining of semester CHQU arranged registration for this insurance).
I think Czech insurance is not for ChongQing University necessary, but it is still choice of students.

Just some pills for flu

Travel expenses depends on which month and where students want go. ( too big differences )

University takes care of students. Teachers and students are also really kind.

Before arrival to China, communication with University was little bit problematic.
