We are looking for a student with a passion for international exchange, cultural diversity, and community engagement to join our team as an intern. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a multicultural environment, working alongside our mobility team and engaging with international students, alumni, and partner institutions.

Duration

• We are looking for three interns staying one or two semesters. The Spring semester is from 5 January to 5 June, and the Autumn semester is from mid-August until 18 December.

Tasks and responsibilities

• First point of contact for the International Office, based at the Global Lounge
• Supporting our mobility team (incoming and outgoing exchange students and degree-seeking students) via administrative tasks (emails, in-person enquiries, etc.)
• Promotion and social media content creation (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Newsletters) to engage with our partner institutions, prospective students, alumni, and current international students
• Ensuring good information flow to current students
• Coordinate social events at the Global Lounge for students, staff and guests
• Coordinate Social Erasmus Initiative
• Taking visitors (partner institutions, prospective students, country representatives) on campus tours
• Work alongside the Erasmus Student Network of Agder

Requirements

• Student enrolled at a bachelor’s or master’s level or a recent graduate
• EU / EEA national eligible for the Erasmus+ Traineeship grant (from an institution other than UiA). Please check with your home office if you will be eligible for a grant before you apply.
• Fluent English spoken and written (C1 level)

• Computer skills (Microsoft Office package, mailing services, Canva, video editing software)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Social Media experience
• Marketing and administrative experience
• Flexible and able to work independently, as well as being able to work alongside other intern(s) and staff
• Initiative and creativity
