Academic year students who do not come from English language universities must also take an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Placement Exam prior to their arrival on campus. The results of this test will be used to recommend supplemental English language courses, if necessary; participation in the exchange is not dependent upon the score of this proficiency exam. While not mandatory for semester students, they may also choose to take the exam for a fee of approximately $40. All students have the option of enrolling in EAP courses directly without taking the exam.

A minimum course load at MU consists of 20 ECTS credits per semester. This is equivalent to 10 credits at University of Missouri–St. Louis. The final decision on the recognition of credits at MU in your Learning Agreement is up to the departmental coordinator at MU.
Further academic details: Graduate students can take undergraduate courses and vice-versa.

Forbidden fields of study: Engineering, Optometry, Nursing. Graduate College of Education programs are also not available. Other graduate programs are at the discretion of the department. Graduate students are not eligible to participate in practicum courses in any field.
Financial conditions: Students must show the following proof of total estimated funding to recieve a DS-2019: 10,000 USD for one semester and 20,000 USD for two semesters
