Language requirements: Proof of English language proficiency is not normally required, but exchange students are expected to have English proficiency level equivalent to TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0.
Supported academic levels: Bachelor
Academic minimum required: We use GPA. Students are expected to be in good academic standing.
ECTS usage: No. minimum credit load is 12 credits (equivalent to three or four courses) and the maximum is 18 credits (equivalent to five or six courses).
A minimum course load at MU consists of 20 ECTS credits per semester. This is equivalent to 12 credits at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The final decision on the recognition of credits at MU in your Learning Agreement is up to the departmental coordinator at MU.
Further academic details: Postgraduate level courses are usually not open for enrollment to undergraduate exchange students.
But graduate students can be nominated for exchange at HKUST (except School of Business) and take undergraduate courses
