Since all courses, except for Japanese language courses, are conducted in English, those applicants whose native language is not English must submit an evidence that they have adequate English proficiency (TOEFL score of above 550 on the paper-based test or 213 on the computer-based test or 80 on the internet-based test). This requirement is waived for students from our affiliated institutions.

You will have to take the Mandatory Japanese Language
course, and at least 3 more elective courses. We do not use
the ETCS credits, but you can calculate the course meeting
hours of instruction and see if either 14 or 17 or 20 credits will
meets your requirement.
Our one credit corresponds with one US credits.
Also, one credit is consisted of 15 hours of class contact hours plus
30 hours of outside of class workload. Thus, for the mandatory Japanese
language course it would be total of 5 credits which is 225 hours of workload in total.
For 3-credit lecture course it would be 135 hours of workload.
A minimum course load at MU consists of 20 ECTS credits per semester. The final decision on the recognition of credits at MU in your Learning Agreement is up to the departmental coordinator at MU.
