🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The atmosphere in the classes was informal and casual.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, a welcome week for international students that is led by Norwegian students of the faculty (concert, barbecue, quiz, museum visit). There are also several events during the semester, e.g. a quiz.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:20000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Hmm, probably the cost of transport and raw vegetables and fruit.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Specifically in Norway, it pays to become a member anywhere you use services more than 2-3 times, e.g. in a shop, gym, café, public transport, etc. It also pays to buy large packs of eggs, milk, etc.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Application: on SKYSS or directly at the bus stop. However, everything there works on card swiping and therefore it's time-consuming to pay through the machine, because you need to forward the ticket to a phone number and by the time you punch it, you'll miss public transport.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Ulriken, Lovstakken and 5 more hills :-) then the centre, the university museum, the sauna Laugaren, coffee at Bergen Coffee Roastery and Nordnes Kupalisko.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?One-way Trolltunga and any utulna or sleepover outside. Maybe check out the glacier and go further, depending on financial possibilities, e.g. via ESN (they have really great offers).

Share your best experience:Hmm, one of the most beautiful days was when we went to visit Hardangerjøkulen, a stop in Finse. Bergen is a rainy city and sometimes all it takes is a few hours on the train out of it, where the skies open up and that sunshine and frost was something wonderful, in an even better bunch of course!

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Sleeping bag :D and the whole waterproof set.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences? In Bergen, socialising and enjoying nature (especially on sunny days) is essential.
