Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The semester is divided into two parts: extensive and intensive courses. During the first half of the semester, students take extensive courses, which conclude with exams at the end of that period. The second half is dedicated to intensive courses, which typically last one week and involve around four hours of class per day.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, they have a lot of students events and trips plans for the international students. Additionally, you have the option to slect in which campus do you want to study, can be Lille or Paris.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?For accommodation, you have to pay house insurance and a guarantor service.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Find an accommodation as soon as possible after your Erasmus is confirmed, otherwise it will be more expensive. If you are under 26 all the museums are free.

What is a must-see in the city?There’s a lot to do in the city. Montmartre is definitely a beautiful neighborhood worth visiting, and Le Marais is full of bars, shops, and more it’s a great place to stroll around on the weekend.

Share your best experience:It was definitely a great experience. Paris is a very diverse city, and I had the chance to meet people from different cultures and improve my French. At the beginning of the semester, the student association organizes an event that brings together students from both the Paris and Lille campuses. They take you to a venue early in the day where there are games, activities, and food—it was a great opportunity to connect with others.
