Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?We were taught by many more foreign ectors than I expected. I even got to meet a teacher from Masaryk University during my studies.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?It definitely is. In France, student societies are very well run, and there are many of them, and they have a wide variety of focuses. This makes it possible to collect both sporting and cultural experiences. But in Bordeaux there was a particularly renowned wine society where you have the opportunity to taste wines from all over Aquitaine.

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?There was no equipment in the dormitories except furniture. On the first day after my arrival, I had to go out and look for a duvet and a pillow. Food is also quite expensive in France.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?If you are interested in traveling, it's worth buying an SNCF train card at the start of your stay, which can sometimes cut train tickets by up to half.

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Public transport in Bordeaux is solved by the application "TBM." For travelling around Aquitaine, the "Cars 33" app, and for longer journeys, "FlixBus" or "SNCF Connect."

What is a must-see in the city?It's Bordeaux, so definitely the Le Cité du Vin museum, which offers an amazing interactive excursion into the history of wine with a tasting at the end.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Paris.

Share your best experience:For me, it was social tastings and trips with classmates to the neighborhood. For example, to the Chateau de la Brede, just outside Bordeaux.
