🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The teaching itself seemed to me in many ways similar to ours once one got used to the new information system and organizational issues (e.g., taking notes), the lectures themselves felt like home. :)

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? It is full of activities - orientation week, activities within the Erasmus Society ESN and many other student activities. It's lively on campus too and there are many clubs to get involved in.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:24000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Public transport in the MVGO app, otherwise everything is also in the DB (Deutsche Bahn) app.

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Art museum "Pinakotheken", student town Olydorf. The Englischer Garten park and the Eisbach running through it (it's great to swim in it in summer :). At the Universität stop, The Lost Weekend, on the same street an amazing coffee at Man vs. Machine! Cheap UNDER 30 tickets for great theatre shows at the Münchner Kammerspiele. There are also great art exhibitions at the Kunsthalle. If it works out, the Bayerisches Staatsoper is monumental and I recommend it. In the summer there are amazing outdoor dance parties almost every night at the Pinakotheke der Moderne - swing, Latin, standard; come here almost any summer evening and join the WhatsApps groups where dance events are announced.

Share your best experience:There was so much! The performance of Nora at the Münchner Kammerspiele... I played myself in a student play with the Theater im Olydorf student association or did lighting in the Olydorf student club. :)

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Train

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip? The cheapest way is to take the train, but beware - buy your ticket via the ČD My Train app or on the ČD website. The same train costs significantly more when bought through the German site. The Prague-Munich train runs several times a day, usually on the "Western Express", and if you buy well in advance (e.g. more than 2 weeks), you'll only pay 500 CZK for one Prague-Munich trip with everything.

Can you pay by card?neutral

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences? They say Munich is the biggest village in the world, and it's true. Even though it's big, you meet friends on the street all the time.
