🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Courses for foreign students are not concluded by a traditional exam, but by submitting a final written thesis on a selected topic (ranging from 3 to 15 pages).

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Students may be assigned a buddy to help them with their initial orientation, an orientation week (at the law school, everything starts a week earlier), familiarization events organized both directly by the university and by the ESN.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:12000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Charge 2 EUR per washing machine ;-)

Do you have any tips on how to save money? The student bar has a "Free Rakhia with Beer" event every Monday.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? There is a similar Czech mobile application IDOS (for searching connections), but tickets cannot be purchased there. It is possible to arrange a card, which can be loaded with e.g. a monthly ticket (handled at the centre), or to buy regular paper tickets at the newsagent.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Historic city, underground tunnels, Museum of Broken Relationships and Museum of Chocolate.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Rijeka, Dubrovnik, Plitvice Lakes (all these trips are organized by ESN).

Share your best experience:Day trip to Slovenia (Lake Bled + Ljubljana).

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?I don't recommend taking the train. The best way to get there is to fly from Bratislava (Ryanair), then you can easily get there by bus or taxi. Always carry a small amount of money with you just in case, but never large amounts.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing? At the beginning of the spring semester it is usually very cold and snowy, don't forget your winter jacket!

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Studying both schools at the same time is a hassle, be careful to only "load" yourself with as much as you can handle abroad ;-)
