🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?A lot more homework. Every course has some kind of written output, usually in teams. The tests are mostly open book and more application based than in CR.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? We had an orientation day, the university offered a buddies program where local students could give us advice.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:25000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?Web Idealist, I don't recommend Uni Places, they take huge commissions, but when a problem comes up, they don't solve it very effectively.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Very expensive supplements and medicines, many times more expensive than in the Czech Republic, so I recommend stocking up on vitamins before your trip.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Too good to go app, our canteen was subsidised and very cheap.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?I did a Google search for connections, students under 23 can buy an Andante card and have free transport around Porto.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?yes

How do you rate the availability of healthcare?I've seen better

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Jardim di Morro - view, Cristal Palace gardens, ocean...

What are the must-visit trip destinations?I liked Aveiro and Coimbra, I also recommend the national parks or Nazare.

Share your best experience:I really liked the Sao Joao festival on Midsummer's Night, the whole Porto looks like a fairy tale on Fairy Tale Island, people are releasing lanterns over the river and it has a magical atmosphere.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip? The metro at the airport is not underground, as you might expect, but above ground.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?Warm clothes, especially for home, the Portuguese don't heat very much. A waterproof jacket is a must, ideally waterproof boots, the rains are hard and fast and an umbrella doesn't stand a chance.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Erasmus is an unforgettable experience, but not only in a good way. It's quite a challenging experience in places, but definitely worth it.
