Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?I was very surprised to learn that China uses workbooks and physical textbooks even in college (as opposed to MU, where most materials are now digitized).

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, students can enroll in various extracurricular activities (e.g. traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy...), sports clubs, or participate in various festivals organized by the university.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?There are usually no duvets or pillows in the dorms. Sometimes mattresses are missing.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Eating in the school cafeteria will save you a lot of money (restaurants are not expensive, but the cafeteria is cheaper), but cooking here is completely worthless because there are no dishes in the dorms.

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?For me, the most useful apps are Amap for transportation in the city, Trip.com for air tickets across China, and 铁路12306 for trains between cities.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?黄山 (mountain relatively close to Nanjing),张家界 (national park, also known as "avatar mountain")
