How did you discover this internship opportunity?MU website

Can you describe the role you held during your internship?Teacher/assistant in Czech Saturday school, leader of a children's group for mothers with children.

What specific responsibilities and tasks did you do during your internship?Every Wednesday I led a club for mothers with small children. We sang, played, read stories and cooked, but most of all we spoke Czech. In Saturday school I helped wherever needed. I organized different days (the founding of Czechoslovakia, the Olympics, Halloween, Drakiáda, wreath making, Cinderella screenings...). I also helped administratively (invitations, applications...). I tutored pupils in Czech.

If yes, can you provide a specific example?I used different organizational forms, playing a musical instrument, communicating with young children...

How well did you manage to communicate in a foreign language?almost no difficulties

Do you have tips on how to make a great impression on the institution?They like people who are action-oriented and not afraid to organize events.

How competitive was the selection process? Did you have to go through an application procedure?I didn't have to, I was picked right away.

Why would you recommend students do an internship?They will experience new ways of working with children with different mother tongues. At the same time, they will experience a new culture and customs.
