Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Somewhat but I would say it was mostly the ESN.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Cook your food yourself and walk instead of public transport or taxis (plus points for it being healthy).

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Online at the respective operators (Flixbus, national railways), within the city it was almost pointless to use buses.

What is a must-see in the city?Old university campus, historical centre, Praca de Republica - especially at night. If you are lucky, one of the student parades in autumn or spring semesters

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Nazare, Guimares, Lousa.
