🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?manageable

Are your credits converted?no

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is run by the university. They organise city tours, excursions, karaoke nights, international dinners,... The university itself had prepared for us a full afternoon online video chat introducing important areas to think about. University peers for international students also worked to some extent (but there a lot depended on the individual person).

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:13000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Dorms are really the cheapest option and there is a lot of need to apply early! Other housing usually makes energy (which is needed in Estonia's freezing temperatures :)) very expensive. As for shops, Rimi and Maxima, Coop and Lidl are the cheapest. Selver, on the other hand, is the worst option. A drugstore is very nice to have from the Czech Republic. You can get a bus card for one euro and then go to rural areas on trips for free - just with the card :).

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?neutral

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Luxexpress is best between cities, gobus with a free card to rural areas. For longer distance connections it is worth booking a ticket. I haven't had to use public transport once when moving around the city. You can walk everywhere :)

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?yes

How do you rate the availability of healthcare?neutral

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city? The city as such with as many cultural events as it can offer. I went to the Tartulinnamarathon and it was awesome! After connecting with the local scouts, I also attended a few local events with them. I also highly recommend a trip to Saaremaa from ESN.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Saaremaa (more expensive), Tallinn, Viljandi, forests and nature (take the Gobus to a trail - matkarada) and then walk it.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Flixbus can be easily transported to Tallinn from Brno, and then Luxexpress to Tartu (2-3 days), or Flixbus to Riga, Pärnu, and Luxexpress from there.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?Drugstore and basic medicines (the Estonian offer is quite different from the Czech one, they don't even have specialized shops for drugstore).

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Erasmus literally changed my life :). Apart from the country I fell in love with, I made a lot of new friends - Czechs and foreigners (and I'm an introvert!).
