Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?It was interactive, a lot of discussion - which was great.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes. But unfortunately, orientation week does not count towards the contract as tuition, so living expenses during orientation week have to be funded out of pocket.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?Mailing list stadtgefluester.jena@lists.riseup.net - there are often offers for rooms in the WG, you can also make inquiries there. It's used by activists and people from various social movements, so it's about living with people from these circles.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Dumsterdiving - a few supermarkets went, but generally rather poor conditions. Tablediving in the Mensa - doable. Otherwise there is one meal every day in the canteen for under two euros.

What is a must-see in the city?The Saale Horizontaale trail and all the hills around the city, the squat behind Jena West station - where regular dinners are held, the community supported agriculture Wurzelwerke, the Lobeda housing estate, swimming in the Südbad.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Jenzig

Share your best experience:Great were the local bike rides critical mass, once we went to the highway to the urban area of Lobeda, hundreds of people on bikes it was great.
