🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Actually not really, Lund University and Sweden in general reminded me quite a bit of Brno.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, there is of course an orientation week followed by a lot of activities that you can participate in. I took a yoga class and then a trip to a nearby castle. The university also has a lot of student clubs and organizations.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)
Crisis intervention
Support for LGBTQ+ students (e.g., safe spaces, counseling services)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:16000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation? It was quite difficult to find accommodation, in Lund non-EU people have priority when it comes to dorms, so I had to look on my own. I recommend https://bopoolen.nu/en/ for that, but the university itself sends students cool tips on how to find accommodation.

Do you have any tips on how to save money? For me, I definitely shopped at Lidl, it seemed like the cheapest supermarket, but you still pay more there than in the Czech Republic. Otherwise, 22.9 is International Car-free Day and a ticket for public transport around Skåne is only 1 SEK, which is definitely worth taking advantage of if you are there at that time.

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Lund is a relatively small town, but it has a lot to offer. The dominant feature is definitely Lund Cathedral, which really can't be missed. Then there's the Stadsparken and the botanical garden. Since I lived in the Klostergården district, I walked around a lot, where there is beautiful nature (Höjeådalen, Lekplats near Källbybadet and Källby Dammar).

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Lund is about 45 minutes from Copenhagen, so definitely go there. Otherwise, as far as Denmark is concerned, Elsinor is also very nice, with a ferry from Helsinborg. Further afield in Sweden it's definitely worth visiting Stockholm, Ystad, Malmö and I went as far as Simrishamn for a mystery I was reading, which is a nice little seaside town that's also definitely worth a mention. Oh, and Bosjökloster Castle.

Share your best experience:That would be Stockholm, especially the ABBA museum. And then Copenhagen, where unfortunately there is a huge amount of tourists lately.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane
Train

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Definitely a raincoat, I arrived at the end of August and less than a week later I had to look for one in the shops, the weather can be really changeable.
