🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?neutral

Are your credits converted?no

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?I don't recall my faculty doing any events, but friends from other faculties had such events here and there.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:20000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation? In Ljubljana, it is not ideal to search for accommodation on Facebook, as there are often fraudulent offers. For example, I found my accommodation through HousingAnywhere, where you pay a lot of money for the so-called Tenant Protection fee, which varies according to the rent. In my case the monthly rent was €450, so this fee was €180, if the rent was €600 then this fee was also higher, but I can't remember how much.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Trains - https://potniski.sz.si/en/
Buses - https://www.ap-ljubljana.si
Tickets can be bought online or at the station. For public transport, the Urbana app is good.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?yes

How do you rate the availability of healthcare?neutral

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Sunset from Ljubljana Castle

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Velika Planina, Soča valley, Triglav national park, Postojna cave, Škocjan cave, the coast, Vintgar gorge, but also the surrounding countries have a lot to offer.

Share your best experience:It's hard to choose just one, but one such memorable trip with ESN was to Bosnia and Herzegovina (Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Mostar). In my experience, however, trips without ESN are better, as they are often very hectic and you can't make it work for you.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Apart from the fact that the airport is quite far from the city and the prices for taxis are quite exorbitant (but you can also get there by bus), a better option to get from the Czech Republic to Ljubljana is definitely bus/train. Which is not only cheaper, but when travelling by plane, one has to change planes in Belgrade. The bus from Prague is direct and the journey takes around 9 hours.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing? What you can't buy in a foreign country and can't go without.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?I just wanted to get away - and in Slovenia I finally found something I wasn't even looking for.
