🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Teaching was the same as at MUNI. The professors told at the beginning of the course what it would be about and how it would end.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, the faculty has been preparing various events all semester. There was an orientation week and activities where I met other Erasmus students (e.g. parties, city tours, karaoke parties, river cruises, wine tasting...).

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Special aids and technologies (e.g., text-to-speech software, hearing aids)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:11000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Too gut to go app - there you could find different foods from bakeries and restaurants that have to be sold.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? In Germany, the best thing to have is the Deutschland Ticket app, where I paid some 13 euros every month to my university card as a student. This ticket is valid for any public transport in the city and for regional trains in any German city/village and there is no need to buy other tickets. The Deutsche Bahn app is good for finding connections.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Festung Marienberg, Residenz - this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Käppele, Marienplatz, Dom, Alte Mainbrücke, vineyards and Kiliani-Volksfest.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Veitshöchheim, Hamburg, Schwerin, Hannover, Lübeck, Neuschwannstein, Randersacker, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bamberg, Erfurt and many other cities. With the Deutschland ticket you can visit many places.

Share your best experience:I liked Hamburg the best, where it is better to travel at least two people for safety reasons. And don't forget Neuschwannstein Castle and the lakes around it, there is really beautiful nature there.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Car

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Würzburg can also be easily reached by Flixbus with one transfer (if you are coming from Brno). The bus arrives directly at the station, where you can change to public transport.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?Keep an eye on what documents you need to produce in hard copy on arrival. I had to have a printed lease when I handed over my dorm room.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Definitely go, because the experience, meeting new people, experiences are worth it!!! Most of all, you get to see a part of the world and try to live in another country, which was incredibly rewarding for me and I would definitely go again 😀 And even if there was a problem with studying or something else, there was always someone who helped, so you don't have to worry. Everything is manageable, you just have to step out of your comfort zone. 😉
