🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?neutral

Are your credits converted?yes

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Usually, the lessons are held in blocks — the course is intensive for around two months, with lessons taking place 2–3 times per week. After that, a new course starts. In the Czech Republic, however, courses are held throughout the entire semester.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:15000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?Facebook groups, airbnb.

Do you have any tips on how to save money? The housing situation is similar to Brno – there are few options and the rent prices are really high. On top of that, groceries are also quite expensive. However, students can get a public transport card for just €10 for the entire stay, so that’s at least one way to save some money.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?I've seen better

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Public Transport:
The company that operates public transport in Bologna is called Tper. You can download their app, where you can buy tickets (don’t forget to activate the ticket – otherwise, you might get a €70 fine like I did!). The app also helps you check connections. Buses are often not on time, so be careful if you’re in a hurry.
As I mentioned earlier, Erasmus students can get a public transport card for just €10 for the whole stay – definitely a great way to save some money.

Transport outside the city:
You can find connections using Google Maps and buy tickets on the websites of the train companies – usually Italo and Trenitalia. Btw both companies offer high-speed trains, which is super convenient for longer trips.
