🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?yes

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?No, the teaching methods were pretty similar to the ones at MUNI. But I think that’s mostly because my program was Spanish philology which is almost identical in every country I would say. Especially because Spain is the model that our uni and others tend follow in case of my program.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, the ESN in Almeria is huge and they do so much for the Erasmus students. They do an activity almost every week, there are trips, even for more days or just parties, sport or art activities. Really everyone can choose.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:9000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?I found it on facebook group and it was great so I’d recommend it.

Do you have any tips on how to save money? For sure buy a public transport card for students, it’s very cheap and the buses are very efficient way to transport in Almeria. Also ESN gives discounts for some activities, restaurants, airlines and shops if you buy an ESN card.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?neutral

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? There’s and special app for the public transport which is really convenient to download and use. You can buy the bus ticket in the bus at the driver, but id recommend to buy a student monthly card for the bus as I said.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
Share your best experience:I’d say going on the trips with ESN, there was integration week to Murcia and Cartagena. Also Ibiza trip, trip to Valencia on Las Fallas, Closing trip to Mojacar. And so much more. With my friends we also visited Málaga, Granada, Barcelona etc.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
