Po obdržaní Acceptence Letter mi študijne oddelenie zo zahraničnej školy poslalo tabuľku s predmetmi, ktoré si môžem zaregistrovať. Po vybratí predmetov mi ich študijne oddelenie zaregistrovalo za mňa.

na výber sú buď predmety, ktoré sú vyslovene prednášky, tj. že vyučujúci sám prednáša celú dobu alebo sú predmety semináre, kedy ma vyučujúci na začiatku výuky krátku prednášku ale väčšina hodiny je diskusia o danej téme, prípadne prezentácie študentov

Quality of teaching in comparison with home school:
nakoľko väčšina predmetov, ktoré som na zahraničnej univerzite mala zapísaných boli semináre, za kvalitnejšie by som hodnotila osobnejší prístup k študentom

How did you receive study materials?:
všetok študijný materiál nám poskytli vyučujúci prostredníctvom online platformy

Can you recommend an interesting course/subject/teacher?:
Odporučila by som predmet Switzerland in the Modern World: More than Cheese and Chocolate. Je to predmet vyslovene pre zahraničných študentov a jeho cieľom je im poskytnúť vedomosti o Švajčiarsku v podstate z každého odvetvia - história, umenie, ekonómia, politika...

How well is the school library equipped?:
K dispozícii je množstvo knižníc, v ktorých je možné taktiež pracovať. Na štúdium som však používala predovšetkým online knižnice univerzity.

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
Na štúdium je nutné mať svoj vlastný notebook.

Pred začatím semestra je orientation week kde sa zahraniční študenti dozvedia praktické informácie o štúdiu na danej univerzite a taktiež o rôznych študentských spolkoch.

Where did you live?:
Bývala som v zdieľanom byte, ktorý som si musela zabezpečiť sama, nakoľko mi nebolo ponúknuté ubytovanie na internátoch.

ceny ubytovania sa líšia od typu, spravidla však izba v Zurichu začína na 700chf/mesačne

to závisí od toho, aké ubytovanie si zabezpečia

začala by som hľadať hneď po obdržaní Acceptance Letter

na fakultách sú študentské menzy v ktorých varia výborne a skvelé ceny na Zurich

približne 3x drahšie

cestovala som autom

Z Bratislavy/Viedne chodí priamy vlak 1x denne do Zurichu

takmer všetci študenti využívajú MHD, cena na mesiac je cca 60€

What kind of formalities have to be arranged before arrival, for example residence permit?:
povolenie na pobyt sa vybavuje do dvoch týždňov od príchodu do Švajčiarska, je k nemu potrebné priniesť potvrdenie o štúdiu z tamojšej univerzity a taktiež ubytovaciu zmluvu.

What health insurance did you use? (rough price, advantages, disadvantages, is it necessary to arrange insurance at the university other than your home (Czech) insurance?):
Na Slovensku som zakúpila študentské cestovné poistenie určené pre zahraničné pobyty - to je dostačujúce, ak v Švajčiarsku neplánujete pracovať. Keďže som si časom našla brigádu, musela som si zaplatiť aj poistenie v Švajčiarsku.

pre študentov z EU nie je problém sa zamestnať, avšak je potrebné vybaviť si švajčiarske zdravotné poistenie
