I had to register all my curses during the first week. If you want to do some changes you have to do them during the first week as well.

In the host university we had every subject twice a week so than the number of credits was the same.

The teachers were very nice and friendly. We had to read some articles, write resumes, prepare some teaching materials.

By email, during the clases.

History of Spanish Language in Mexico, Spanish as a Second Language

How well is the school library equipped?:
Good

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
The internet connection is not really good, I never used the computers at the university. You do not need a computer during the classes.

Options from printing and copying:
You cant print everything in the campus for a good price.

Does the foreign school/student organisation arrange special events for exchange students?:
yes

If yes then what?:
Intercucsh organize a lot a trips. Your tutors will inform you. They have also a fb group for every semester.

We rented a room in a house near the university.

Do not forget the voltage converter.

How and how far ahead should accommodation be organised?:
You can stay in a hotel and find it later. It is better to see the house and the part of the town first.

What are the catering options?:
There are all types of food and it is kind of cheap.

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
cheaper

Transport to location of placement:
Take an Uber or Didi. It is cheap and save.

Rough prices for transportation:
The bus in the city costs about 40 cents.

Tips for purchasing cheap tickets and other recommendations:
With the student card the bus is cheaper.

Bus, Uber, Didi, taxi, tren ligero, bicycle

What kind of formalities have to be arranged before arrival, for example residence permit?:
If you stay only one semester, you do not need any permit.

What health insurance did you use? (rough price, advantages, disadvantages, is it necessary to arrange insurance at the university other than your home (Czech) insurance?):
AXA travel insurance.

Did you have any experience with medical treatment abroad?:
I had to take a friend to the hospital and we unfortunately went to a public one. It was like in a bad movie. I recommend you to find a private hospital where to go in case of emergency.

Did you work during your studies?:
No.

What are the conditions for working for MU students?:
I do not know.
