🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Are your credits converted?yes

Can you give an example?I took a management course in Germany, which was worth 5 ECTS there, but at ECON MUNI, it converted into 8 ECTS.

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?For me, it was the lack of assignments and stuff to do during the semester. Basically, you had nothing to do until the exam. Also, it felt much more focused on actual usage and not just memorizing stuff.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, it does, there are a lot of fun activities during the first week! Highly recommend attending all of them.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Support for LGBTQ+ students (e.g., safe spaces, counseling services)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:15000 CZK/month

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Honestly, nothing surprised me that much. It actually was much cheaper than I originally thought, which allowed me to travel and enjoy my time much more too.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Use the DB app for the trains outside of the city and the local app for the city. Worked really well.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city? The Schloss and Durlach area is a must-see. Especially during Christmas time.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?I'd say that three of my favorites were Baden-Baden, Strasbourg, and Konstanz.

Share your best experience:My best experience was probably when I and my friend went to Strasbourg, but she only stayed for a day, so we went to museums and explored together, but then I stayed the night over at a local hostel. Which was already cool as it was my first time at a hostel, and I was a little bit scared. But after the first five minutes, I got invited for a beer by a cool Australian, so the fear was gone. And the next morning was the best part. I found a really nice small cafe and bought a croissant and hot chocolate and was just enjoying my time. It was amazing, even if it was foggy.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Car

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip? Not really.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing? If you have a bike, take it with you if you can! It will save you so much money, and the city is super bike-friendly.
