🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Lots of project work and courses based on 6 weekly blocks, where the student is intensively engaged in no more than two blocks at a time. After usually 6 weeks, the course ends with an exam and the next block begins. A huge advantage for me, as the student can have an intensive concert on a given topic and not have to divide their attention between many different subjects at once.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, the school has a very rich offer for international students including orientation week, student events, weekend trips and much more.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Support for LGBTQ+ students (e.g., safe spaces, counseling services)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:17000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?I don't remember anything.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Nothing site-specific. Maybe just the possibility of renting a bike for free to get around town. No need to pay for public transport.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Ticket electronically, special Västtrafik app for connections.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?yes

How do you rate the availability of healthcare?mostly fine

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Trollhättan waterfalls.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Gothenburg, definitely Marstrand, Smögen, Fjällbacka, Bohus-Malmön, the surrounding nature reserves and national parks where you can camp freely (but clean up after yourself! :).

Share your best experience:Definitely meeting my current boyfriend then all the trips with Erasmus people around the area, Thursday karaoke nights at the Brasserie bar/restaurant and the whole six months was one huge experience.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Everything was smooth, including the train from Gothenburg to Trollhättan.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?A cape! The combination of rain and wind is not exactly conducive to using an umbrella. So after about two weeks I gave up using it and bought a raincoat, which they have a great selection of in Sweden and they look beautiful and stylish.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Going on a study trip is the best decision you can make and one great, non-transferable experience. Apart from the many experiences and independence it will give you, most importantly, friends from different countries with whom you will share a special Erasmus bond and memories to last a lifetime. So go ahead and send in that application! :)
