🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you? There was no reliance on the informational system or another form of online studying which I greatly appreciated. At muni I feel like I have to check my email and learning platforms ( for exmaple Moodle) like 5 times a day not to miss anything. And I still end up missing stuff because it is not centralized to one place and there is so much information. The teachers rarely used power point presentations. I liked that too. You don't need a presentation for everything.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes the university did but I didn't feel like it worked that great. However I met a great community through my Italian class and ESN events.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:24900 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Not really but I did have to spend money to travel and explore the country and my region which is something extra I don't need to account for back home.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Use whatsapp taxis not the official ones and public transport. Don't stay in hotels while travelling instead do airbnb or booking.com. If you're traveling to a very touristy area get a sandwich from a formaggeria/salumeria or grocery store and pack it with you. Food in touristy areas is overprized and not even that good. In Italy there are always options for cheap food you just have to look for them.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?neutral

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? In city anm app and card readers in intercity rail and outside city at the station is usually fine. If you want to plan ahead buy tickets directly on the website to avoid unnecessary fees.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Centro storico, campus of the law faculty, Vomero area and view point outside the castel Sant'Elmo. Seaside walk by the port. Anywhere you go in Naples is beatiful in it's own way. Park Capodimonte and Parco di villa Floridiana with a view. Area Rione Sanita. Botanical garden. Duomo cathedral.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Procida was my favorite island, Ischia is very nice too. Cities Salerno, Sorrento and Caserta especially the Caserta chateaux gardens. Beach in Bagnoli. Rome is accessible by train and Milano too although it is further. Pompei ruins and town as well. Climb the Vesuvio. Ercolano is like a smaller Pompeii and it's also very nice. Amalfi coast but go off season. Best hike ever is Path of the Gods in nice weather.

Share your best experience:Ischia trips with my besties. Path of the Gods. Countless best experiences though, I could talk about it for hours.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane
Train

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Airport is right in the city, train station as well. you can get around the city with whatsapp taxis or buses quite easily.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?Bring clothes for extreme heat as well as cold. In Naples we sit outside at night whole year round so even if it doesn't seem that cold at first when you're sitting down for hours a hat and gloves come in handy.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?A Neapolitan saying will describe it better than I ever could. "When a foreigner comes to Naples he cries two times. When he arrives and as he's leaving."
