🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The courses had no seminars only lectures, with some lectures being more practically oriented.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, the local ESN organisation is very active, they offer an orientation week during which something is organised every week, then over the semester they organise 3-4 weekend trips outside of Luxembourg (e.g. Paris), and every week there used to be one beer together and something else (a smaller trip...).

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:24000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Accommodation is quite expensive even though it is from the university, but that's just the way it is in Luxembourg.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?I definitely recommend going to the university canteens, they have very good food at similar prices to Czech Republic, while restaurants are very expensive (fast food, e.g. local Quick, is cheaper). Cheaper shopping is available e.g. at Aldi (groceries) or Action (e.g. cooking utensils). The school offers a number of free services, e.g. access to the nearby swimming pool in Oberkorn, many physical activities every week (e.g. football) and they also tend to give away a few free tickets to cultural events (theatre, philharmonic...).

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?neutral

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Public transport (buses and trains) is free in Luxembourg, and there is a Mobiliteit app for searching connections.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?In Luxembourg, there's a pretty valley by the Petrusse River in the capital, and outside it, for example, the castle in Vianden.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Luxembourg is adjacent to many countries where there is much to see, e.g. Paris in France, Bruges in Belgium, Maastricht in the Netherlands, Trier in Germany...

Share your best experience:I really liked it when we went to the waterpark/spa in Aachen.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Accommodation is only available from the 1st or 16th of the month, so you will need to adjust accordingly.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?I can't think of anything, the climate in Luxembourg is not much different from ours.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences? It was definitely worth it and I recommend Erasmus to everyone.
