Can you give an example?1 credit at a foreign university was converted to 2 credits (in my case I had 12 credits for 4 courses, which were converted to 24 credits at MU).

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Continuous quizzes and homework whose results counted towards the final grade, which was great.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, orientation week for international students followed by orientation week for all new students at the university. They also have a lot of fraternity and sorority and students events.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?It was not surprising, I had all the information in advance, but for us it may be strange that everyone has to buy textbooks and they are not available for free in the library.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?To use the scholarship at Albertsons as well, you have to go to customer service and not the regular cashier and then they take the money from your Griz Card.

Where can it be arranged?In Prague at the Embassy.

What is needed?Pay and fill out the questionnaires, upload a photo and submit all the paperwork and go to the embassy in person.

How long does it take approximately?It depends on when you get a date for a personal appointment, for me it took about 2 months.

How did you get to the place?Plane

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?The airport is far from the city and there is no bus at night, but the university provides a shuttle service for international students on selected dates, which can be arranged through a questionnaire.

What not to forget when packing?Winter is harsh 😀
