🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The teaching surprised me with its form. It is a smaller private university, so we usually met for classes around ten of us and the classes were conducted practically rather than theoretically with presentations.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, the orientation week was pretty loosely run. In the Croatian language class we often went to the city (museum, zoo...). And also the school offered us various lectures given by interesting personalities (Olympic winners, etc.).

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:15000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?I found accommodation thanks to a contact I got from the students who were here before me.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?It is necessary to take into account that in the summer season May-September prices are much higher.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Students are supported in Croatia. Whether in the form of canteens, which the state subsidizes 3 meals a day 3/4 of the price, so you pay about 1.5 euros for a meal in the canteen with a snack. As for transport, it is free for students.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?neutral

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? You just need to install their Promet Split app, where you just need to create an account, get a card at the branch and then just search for buses in the app (it's better to keep track of bus locations rather than arrival times).

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?UNESCO World Heritage Site Diocletian's Palace

What are the must-visit trip destinations?NP Krka and Plitvice, Zipline Omis and the islands around Hvar or Solta, whether for the beach or for a cycling trip

Share your best experience:As a sports fan, one of the greatest experiences for me was the Split-Zagreb football derby with lots of pyrotechnics, when I could see how crazy they are about football and cheering for Hajduk is a religion for them.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Can you pay by card?in most places
