matkahuolto.fi - for all buses. Also aggregates flixbus and onnibus.
VR for trains, but these are often more expensive than buses.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Tampere (mummy museum among others), Turku, Kuopio, Struve geodetic arc and national parks. Lapland.

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Trains are more expensive than buses. There is no public transport at night.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?Thermal underwear, snow clothes. I made a lot of use of the hood, which came in handy in the coldest temperatures.
