🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?neutral

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Compared to MUNI, one course is taught two to three times a week. The exams are public, usually all students wait in one auditorium where they take exams at the same time. Grades are not A-F, but 18-30. Exam dates are fewer and spread throughout the year (so, for example, only two or three per exam period). The exams are very busy on practical questions, you can't just memorize theory, which was a big plus for me.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? There were a large number of events, some of them limited by language.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:18000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?I used a Facebook group - Housing in Padova.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?My rent was quite high.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Look for accommodation early while cheaper rooms are available. It's a good idea to wait, for example, there were Christmas and Valentine's Day discounts in the university shop.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?I've seen better

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Directly at the train station in the vending machine, but it is also possible online. On buses within the city you can use something like a shalinkart, or you can attach the card once on the bus.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Botanical garden, churches - mainly Antonio and Giustina, astronomical museum, Portello, Prato della Valle...

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Cittadella, Monselice, Este, Verona, Venice - one hour by train. Sottomarina and Jesolo - beaches. Other accessible cities are Florence, Trieste and Bologna. It is also possible to go to Slovenia.

Share your best experience:A trip to Slovenia with friends. We left for Trieste at three in the morning, and continued on to Ljublana in the evening. We spent the day there and drove back.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?Italians don't sleep under the covers, so although the room was marked as fully equipped, there was no blanket.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences? It was the best decision I ever made. Now I have to extend my studies because of my residency, but I would do it again without hesitation.
