Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The teachers approach were more informal. Most of the courses I attended were very similar to a discusion.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, there is this group called ESN, which organised trips, parties, dinners and other things. For example, I have travelde with them to Venice and to Terst, POstojna caves and Predjama castle. We also had a dinner wxperience for the st. Martine day.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?The university has a group, which help students to find an accomodation. I used their recommendation, but I also checked on the facebook page, where you can find many landlords, that are searching for tenants.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?I was suprised how alcohol is expensive in the city centre. Also, when I had to fill my permanent stay, I had to pay for it about 20 EUR.

And what about transport outside the city?I've seen better

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Unfortunately I haven't been out of the town on my own, but I have heard, that for the bus, you have to buy tickets directly at the bus station. It is not possible to buy it at the driver.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

What is a must-see in the city?I would recommend the Ljubljana castle, Špica (it is near the river, many people goes there in summer), Etnographic museum (museums and galeries are free every first sunday of month)

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Definitely lake Bled, Predjama castle, Kopr, Triglav national park.

Share your best experience:My best experience was probably visit of the Postovjana caves - it was organised by the ESN group. It was very interesting, we got inside by a small train, then we walked, very amazing and interesting. Also the Predjama castle is very beautiful. It is seated in a mountain. Unfortunately I have seen it only from the outside.
