🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The approach of the teachers and the subjects taught are usually taught by the most competent people in the university, who have a lot of great information to pass on to you. Plus there's a lot of play on practical knowledge which I very much welcome.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? Some yes, like sports, but I didn't participate in those.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Interpretation services
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)
Crisis intervention

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:12000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation? There are facebook groups but they are full of scams so beware, I generally found it through an agency and I sacrificed the one rent for the guarantee of accommodation and I have to say that it really paid off in return (good location and nice apartment for +- the same price as the dorms.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Food here is not as cheap as we would expect but for lunch at the university you pay 32 PLN - which is about 190 CZK, you can eat cheaper around 25 which is a nice price comparable to the daily menu in some Brno companies or canteen at faculties.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Biedronka the cheapest store, I recommend ALDI and then there is the green phenomenon Žabka which is not bad primarily for drinks nothing else is worth buying there prices are shot. In Krakow there are a lot of monuments and sometimes it costs really too much money to enter, but there are entrances on free days and I mean every day of the week you open the opportunity to visit a monument or even a set of monuments for free a great advantage and we really do not have in the Czech Republic.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? In Krakow I recommend the Jakkdojade trams and buses app super app tracks and delays so for me top, tickets can be bought directly in the app but you have to top up the credit on the account however it works great and depends how often you then ride. It's worth it to buy monthly and at most 3 monthly but as I said if you commute daily and fly back and forth around the city this is the way to go. Outside of Krakow I recommend PKP intercity and koleo looking for trains and works similar to our idos.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Wawel, free museums, parks, Kazimierz Jewish quarter and much more.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Wieliczka - although it is a bat 121 PLN for the entrance but these salt mines are worth it, in Poland I recommend to go through the cities of Gdansk, Wroclaw, Warsaw and others that you can think of, quite nice here you can go to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia or to central Europe or maybe by ferry to Scandinavia.

Share your best experience:I can't pick one. Whole experience, I think of it as a complete package of events that have happened to me.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Train
Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip? The airport is far away but you can't fly here from the Czech Republic.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing? If you like müsli like me so import it. They don't have here same as in the Czech Republic. there are more on such those cereals sweet what are given more to children.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Go go go go, it's something that will open your eyes and broaden your horizons, it's your world and that's the best part.
