Are your credits converted?yes

Can you give an example?UNSW 6 credits = 8 ECTS

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation? An app called Flatmates is the most used one and that's how I found my accomodation as well.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?The public transport is quite expensive compared to Czechia, however groceries tend to be roughly the same.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Try to find a place close to the campus, so that you can walk/bike to school. Saves a ton on public transport in the long run. Also, cooking at home and bringing it to school saves a lot.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?I've seen better

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? In Sydney there is an Opal app. Outside just use google, actually very reliable. And an extra tip - from the beginning of this year they have FlixBuses in Australia!

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Obviously the city centre with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, try as much coastal walks as possible. Lot's of beautiful rooftop bars that offer nice views and they are quite affordable (Jimmy's Rooftop is forever in my heart).

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Honestly, anywhere because it's gonna be awesome regardless. But a few of my favourite locations: Cairns for the Great Barrier Reef, Jervis Bay for amazing beaches with kangaroos, Melbourne. And my personal favourite for untouched nature - Tasmania.

Share your best experience:Probably Tasmania in a campervan. Such beautiful nature with almost no tourists. I've been told it is similar to New Zealand, just cheaper and less crowded. Tassie is a must visit for sure

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?yes

Where can it be arranged?Online

What is needed?A lot of patience, it is annoying, but manageable.

How long does it take approximately?2 hours

How did you get to the place?Plane

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?I don't think so, everything is pretty straightforward. One extra tip for Sydney airport - UNSW offers a free taxi from the airport to your accomodation:)

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing? If you're arriving in winter (July, August, partly September) be ready for low temperatures (like 12C), the famous Australian heat is yet to come at that time. Most houses are not insulated so be ready for that.
