🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?We had a few classes with locals in Slovenian, but the teachers knew about us, adapted the class and we had the opportunity to get to know the locals and build contacts outside of the Erasmus group.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?ESN is the main organiser of events for Erasmus students in Ljubljana, but it is not a university organisation. The Faculty of Sport organised a couple of events for us, but these were school events where we were invited extra, not specifically Erasmus events.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:13800 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?Facebook groups, the university even provided us with contacts (I didn't use them).

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Parking fine 30 €.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Use BONI (student food system), cycle or walk - public trasnsport sucks and Ljubljana is very flat.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?terrible

And what about transport outside the city?terrible

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Public transport - Google Maps. For trains they have a site (Slovinske železnice). Their site barely tells you departure, if you want more info you have to ask physically. Mass transit here is really uneffecient especially compared to the Czech Republic.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city? The whole of Ljubljana can be walked in 1 day, there is nothing really outstanding. The castle, the centre, the biggest cemetery - for some sightseeing. But I can recommend establishments - Ferdinand, Irish pub (karaoke Tuesday), Žmauc, Semafor.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Beautiful coastline that can be explored in 1-2 days (Piran, Koper, Izola). National park around Triglav, lots of hikes everywhere you look. Just look at the map and every hill is worth it. Near Ljubljana - Šmarna gora.

Share your best experience:Travelling with friends - Izola trip, hikes... good company makes good experiences, so don't wait for anything and socialize as much as possible.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?FlixBus is a great option, directly to the place from Brno/Prague and you don't have to deal with anything extra. If it's an option I'd rather take a car, then given the travel and crappy public transport it's really worth it.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Fall semester - I'd recommend crampons - great adventures in the winter. And then mainly a big social battery.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Erasmus opened a lot of new doors for me, I got to know not only amazing people from all over the world, but especially myself.
