🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Are your credits converted?yes

Can you give an example?Yes, our courses typically get converted, but most usually as the subjects of the third category (that being not like subjects from our faculty, unless they greatly coincide with one of those)

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?It was quite different for sure. There has been a pretty big encouragement in the use of AI and way greater focus on work in groups, for example in Environmental law, we had to work in a group of 9 people to produce a chapter on a selected topic that would later be published as a part of a book.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? There certainly are organizations present at the Uni that offer wide range of activities such as sports, trips to different parts of the country, parties and more

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Interpretation services
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)
Crisis intervention
Support for LGBTQ+ students (e.g., safe spaces, counseling services)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:20000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?No real unexpected expenses.

Do you have any tips on how to save money? You can always decide to eat in and cook rather than go out, same with drinks, clothes (there's a lot of vintage stores and markets such as Humana), cheap tapas place from 19-21 for 2 euros per tapa and more.
Barcelona is an expensive city for sure, but one can definitely find a way to make it bearable.
The public transport is pretty cheap for the students and for what it offers, so it is recommended you get the 3-month tariff card that lets you go to all 7 zones, including the airport and the cities near the coast.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?I would usually use Google Maps to search the direct route, but it is easy to navigate the stations and the locals are very friendly, so feel free to ask whenever you need. For the tickets, there are vending machines at every metro and train stop where you can buy them.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city? There's the typical monuments such as Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell and la Rambla but my personal favorite is the Arc de Triomf, which is pretty close to the beach and the famous parc Ciutadella, which has a beautiful fountain inside. I would also recommend you to visit Montjuic, a fortress on a mountain on the side of the city.
There is a bunch of museums, but the prettiest is the national gallery located near plaza de espaňa.
These spots usually offer free entry during the first sunday of the month, so make sure you use that to save some more!
Now, if we move away from the monuments, there is an amazing spot called Analogin, which is basically a café where you first take 3 pictures that will then get rolled out on a film tape (you get 2 tapes for 8 euros) and then you get a coffee / drink of your choosing included. It is the perfect place to properly save a memory with your friends.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Montserrat is a beautiful monastery up in the mountains, you can either go all the way there or just beneath and go for like a 3 hour hike.

Share your best experience:My best experience was meeting all the different people and getting to know their cultures, languages and just spending time together. Be it movie nights at one of our apartments, going out for brunch, partying, exploring Spain. As long as the people are there, it is worth it.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane

Can you pay by card?in most places

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Life-changing. I wouldn't be the same without the people I've met and the experiences I lived here.
