Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The teaching is intensive, but not that different from the classes at MU. The only major change is mid-terms, tests in the middle of the semester, which we don't have at MU.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?The university planned a few activities for international students, but they were few and only a limited number of people could participate.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?No unexpected expenses surprised me.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?The food in the school canteen is much cheaper compared to restaurants in the area. If you travel on the metro with a student card, you get quite a big discount.

What is a must-see in the city?Hongya dong, Ciqikou, downtown... for the best tips on trips, check out the Rednote app (Xiaohongshu).

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Sichuan province is right next door and the capital Chengdu is only about an hour and a half by express train, definitely worth it.

Share your best experience:Foreigners are not allowed to enter the Tibet Autonomous Region, you have to get a permit and go there with a travel company. However, Tibetans also live in other parts of China. I had the opportunity to visit them in Songpan in Sichuan. It was a trip full of experiences. I saw their traditional clothes and hairstyles. Tasted traditional dishes made of barley meat and milk and experienced a completely different atmosphere from other cities in China. It is definitely an unforgettable experience.
