Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?There is a lot of turnover of teachers in subjects and they don't know each other, so the same thing is discussed repetitively. Each of them likes to assign their own project for the semester.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Absolutely. There are a million student events in Grenoble and it's definitely worth going to them, there are a lot of clubs and you definitely don't get bored.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?I traveled a lot, which had a big impact on my expenses. I expected food to be much more expensive.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Lidl is mega cheap (compared to other shops), canteens are 3,3 EUR for a big lunch.

What is a must-see in the city?Bastille, incredible mountains around.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Skiing/snowboarding in Les Deux Alpes, Alpes d'Huez, Chamrousse, Sept Laux (all ski areas), Lyon is definitely worth it, Marseille is not far, Paris is also easy to get to. Otherwise, hike the local mountains as much as possible - definitely worth it.

Share your best experience:Sunrise hike on Moucherotte - wake up time at 3am, a long drive, 2 hours hike, but the best experience of the whole Erasmus.
